Workshops and Shows

UniSo

Workshops

UniSo workshops are spaces for discovery, learning and expression through sound and rhythm. Aimed at schools, groups and collectives of all ages, they encourage creativity, participation and teamwork in a fun and inclusive environment.

UniSo Rhythm Sessions

UniSo Rhythm sessions are organized in cycles of 5 or 8 sessions and are open to all levels and ages: children, youth, and adults. You will find a welcoming and dynamic space to learn techniques and rhythms, and to explore different instruments and sound elements.

We offer these sessions to educational centers, city councils, work teams, care homes, and other community settings.

World Percussions

A pedagogical listening session in which children and young people discover ethnic instruments from different continents, their origins, sounds, and unique characteristics. After listening, participants take action and, in small groups, form a percussion orchestra through guided improvisation. A hands-on experience that combines music, play, and learning.

Sounds of water

I will begin with a first part of a continuous listening session featuring instruments that sound through water and sounds modified by water. We will also explore how the vibrations of certain instruments can create spectacular changes and reactions in the water.

We will create different atmospheres to enhance the sensations that can be experienced through the combination of sound and water. In the second part, students will handle the instruments themselves and become the protagonists of the different environments we create. This part will take place in groups of approximately 15, engaging in guided improvisation.

Designed for students in early childhood, primary, and secondary education, with content always adapted to the children’s age.

Recycle with rythm!

Workshop for building instruments with recycled materials

We will reuse everyday materials to create one or more instruments, depending on the materials available and the age of the students. Participants will become familiar with and experiment with the instruments they have made, composing a musical piece and improvisations. This workshop also introduces the concept of reducing and reusing waste that we usually discard, turning it into something creative.

Designed for schools and groups of any type or collective.

Dun-dun Drum Workshop

In this workshop, you can learn to build your own Dun-dun, an African drum that can be made of wood, iron, or plastic. Each side of the drum is covered with cow or goat skin. Within the Dun family, there are three different sizes: the kenkeni, the sangban, and the dun de uno. These three drums form the deep foundation of African rhythms. Like all instruments, it can be used and blended into any musical genre.

Designed for groups, companies, friends, and more.

Musical Wall UniSo

We love bringing music to every corner of the world and to everyone, which is why we created the UniSo MUSICAL WALL. Using various recycled materials, we explored possible sounds—struck, scraped, plucked—so that both children and adults can discover, communicate, play, and enjoy music with the UniSo MUSICAL WALL.

There is also the ORGANIC MUSICAL WALL, with a softer sound that allows the exploration of other sonic nuances through natural elements. We can make them in different sizes, though we recommend one that is 3 meters wide by 1.3 meters high. They can be installed in school playgrounds, public parks, private gardens… Contact us for more information, and we will explain the possibilities.

Journey to Nuk’s Island

Nuk is very curious and adventurous, and loves discovering music everywhere: through the sounds of nature, recycled sounds, water sounds, instruments, and sounds from all over the world. This activity is designed for the little ones—nurseries, early childhood education, and children’s parties. You can choose one or several sessions, which we can schedule with the frequency you prefer:

  • Organic session
  • Recycled session
  • Instrument session
  • Water session

Nuk also takes us on journeys across continents and cultures: Asia, Africa, and the Americas (Native Americans). Each journey is a sonic adventure, full of rhythm, discovery, and fun for the little ones.

Inipi Cerimony

An ancient purification ceremony of Lakota origin, also known as Temazcal, in which the elements—Earth, Water, Air, and Fire—intervene to facilitate an inner journey of transformation and renewal. Through sound, song, and heat, the ceremony works on the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic levels, opening pathways to well-being and awareness.

Shows

UniSo shows combine music, theatre, humor, and audience participation to create unique experiences that connect with the audience, especially families and children.

Tales of the Nas

Traditional Tales

This is a show where music, the playful dramatization of stories, and surprising stage props help imagination take flight and turn the audience into the protagonists of each story. Get ready to open the giant book of The Tales of the Nose! The characters from the three stories come to life with the help of the Red Nose, the Orchestra Doll, and especially the audience.

You won’t just listen to the stories—you’ll live them! This show is designed for children and family audiences.

The Home Orchestra

A show of percussion, humor, and color…

THE HOME ORCHESTRA is a percussion show where music emerges from the unexpected, from the “things” of everyday life.

Interaction with the audience and the surprising stage elements make the show a delight, leaving children amazed at the possibilities objects have to create rhythms and melodies. Our goal is to show the audience how to make music using imagination and any object around us, through creativity, play, and humor.

Highlights:

This show can be adapted for performance in different spaces (schools, libraries, multipurpose rooms, outdoor settings…). We also offer a small educational dossier with didactic material to explore musical aspects related to the show, as well as simple instrument-building activities. It includes activities to do before and after the performance.

Nopnala

NOPNALA is an interactive children’s musical show where the audience becomes the main helper, using rhythms and sounds to assist the digital characters Nuk and Lia in saving the planet through music. Using boomwhackers and African djembes, children take part in rhythmic games that make water appear, clean the seas, and eliminate pollution, connecting the experience with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The climax of the show comes when the entire audience, united in the same rhythm, restores harmony on Earth. “Nopnala” means “I love you” in Wolof—a message of love and respect for the planet.
